Case Study Quan Garden Art

Introduction

In a world where outdoor cooking has evolved from a simple activity into a lifestyle experience, the partnership between Syzan Contract Manufacturing and Quan Garden Art demonstrates how innovation and craftsmanship can come together to redefine modern outdoor living.

This case study explores how both companies collaborated to design and manufacture high-quality outdoor cooking devices for both the HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering) industry and private consumers.

The Vision Behind the Partnership

At the core of this partnership lies a shared passion for craftsmanship, innovation, and outdoor living.

Quan Garden Art, known for its premium outdoor products — including fire pits, garden furniture, and complete outdoor kitchens — set out to redefine outdoor cooking through design, emotion, and atmosphere.

Syzan Contract Manufacturing, leveraging over two decades of experience in metal fabrication, engineering, and assembly, recognized the potential to translate Quan’s artistic vision into a scalable, high-quality manufacturing reality.

By combining Quan’s design aesthetics with Syzan’s technical expertise and production capabilities, both companies aimed to deliver exceptional outdoor cooking solutions that inspire creativity and bring people together.

Challenges & Objectives

The primary challenge was to maintain Quan’s distinctive visual identity and design philosophy while ensuring products could be efficiently manufactured at scale.

Outdoor cooking devices need to withstand extreme temperatures, variable weather conditions, and frequent use, all while maintaining their premium look and feel.

Key objectives included:

  • Translating design concepts into manufacturable products without compromising aesthetics.
  • Ensuring durability and corrosion resistance suitable for outdoor environments.
  • Creating a flexible production model that allows for customization while keeping costs competitive.
  • Developing an efficient assembly and logistics process to meet global demand.

Our Approach

Syzan’s engineering and production teams worked hand-in-hand with Quan’s designers from the earliest stages of development.

Using Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks, we optimized product designs for manufacturability and material efficiency while preserving their artistic detail.

Our metal fabrication capabilities — including laser cutting, CNC bending, TIG/MIG welding, and powder coating — were key to achieving both precision and durability.

Each prototype underwent functional and visual testing, ensuring that the products performed flawlessly while retaining Quan’s signature design language.

Through value engineering, we refined each model to improve assembly time, reduce waste, and increase consistency.

The final production was carried out across our dedicated metal and assembly facilities, ensuring a seamless transition from prototype to series production.

Results & Impact

The collaboration led to the successful launch of Quan’s premium line of outdoor cooking systems, now distributed across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.

Each unit reflects the fusion of art and engineering — combining elegant design, robust performance, and long-lasting quality.

Thanks to the partnership with Syzan, Quan Garden Art was able to:

  • Scale production efficiently while maintaining craftsmanship.
  • Shorten lead times through optimized manufacturing processes.
  • Expand into new markets with a reliable European production base.
  • Strengthen brand reputation as a leader in outdoor cooking innovation.

For Syzan, the collaboration exemplifies how a creative partnership and engineering excellence can transform design ambition into industrial success — proving once again that we build, so our clients can grow.
